Comprehensive Renovation and Extension of a Logistics Warehouse
Challenge: A Cape Town-based client, previously partnered with us on the Queen Nandi Drive Project, sought our expertise to secure and accommodate a new tenant for their large logistics warehouse. After an extensive search, Laser Logistics was identified as the ideal tenant, but the facility required significant upgrades.
Solution:
Tenant Requirements & Negotiations:
Laser Logistics needed extensive modifications before moving in. We were tasked with executing these renovations under a strict deadline.
Renovation & Extension:
Warehouse Extension: We expanded the warehouse by approximately 4,000 m².
Office Revamp & Security Upgrades: The office space was revamped, and property security was enhanced with a state-of-the-art, double-story guardhouse featuring bulletproof glass, spike barriers, boom gates, and a secure control room.
Comprehensive Construction:
Our work included demolition, brickwork, plumbing, electrical installations, carpeting, painting, and concrete work, ensuring a thorough and high-quality renovation.
Result:
The project was completed on time, delivering a facility that met the needs of both the property owner and Laser Logistics. Both the client and tenant were highly satisfied with the outcome
They tell it best
‘A good work ethic’
“We needed to revamp our existing warehouse to meet our specific requirements and Garth Ware put together a plan that showed a solid grasp of our needs. His presentation was impressive and we bought into his vision for the place.
It was a challenging job that involved breaking down walls, filling up floors and construction of other facilities, but Garth and his team pulled through.
I had never met Garth before this project, but I found him easy to engage with – and honest. As representative of the business, I worked closely with Garth to ensure the set deadlines were met. He kept his promises. He had a good team at his disposal and his staff worked on public holidays and weekends to ensure things were ready on time.
The work ethic was admirable. And the new space? It’s 100%.”
